Profiling approach
Our profiling approach is built for teams who need defensible evidence before they change architecture. Each engagement type below maps to how we actually work—not a generic delivery methodology.
1. Intake and reproduction
You describe symptoms: tail latency, memory growth, or database saturation. We confirm environments where sampling is permitted and define a reproduction harness. Without a repeatable scenario we pause rather than guessing in production.
2. Instrumentation plan
We select tracers and profilers your security team already allows. For each layer—HTTP, application runtime, datastore—we note sampling rates, retention, and who owns the artefacts. Advisory sessions use the same plan so your engineers learn the tooling.
3. Capture and triage
We collect traces, flame graphs, and query plans under agreed load. Findings are grouped by user-visible impact, not by framework fashion. Implementation work is proposed only when a change has a clear owner and rollback path.
4. Written handover
Assessments end with a memo you can file internally: ranked issues, measurement snapshots, and optional scoped implementation quotes. Fees for the next phase are confirmed only after you accept a written scope.
